Carousel Center will become smoke-free

General Manager of Carousel Center, Rob Schoeneck, affirmed that they plan to make their complex entirely free of tobacco smoking till 2008. New anti-smoking policy will go into effect on January 1, 2008.

In Carousel Center it will be prohibited to smoke at all, including indoors and out of doors areas.

Also, new policy will involve all workers and distributor of Carousel Center. It has been confirmed, lightening up will be banned in all entry points, sidewalks, loading dock areas, hallways, parking lots and construction areas. It will be applied to all Carousel Center/Destiny USA associates, tenant employees, vendors, delivery people, contractors, subcontractors.

It doesn’t matter whether you a guest from a country where smoking in stores is not prohibited. Guests of Carousel Center lightening up will be banned too.

Carousel Center attempts to protect rights of non-smokers and make the complex to correspond to new anti- tobacco tendencies that are so widely spread all over the state.

Richard H. Carmona, the U.S. Surgeon has discussed About exposure to secondhand smoke and danger that it can result, and stated “The scientific evidence is now indisputable; secondhand smoke is not a mere annoyance. It is a serious health hazard that can lead to disease and premature death of children and nonsmoking adults.”

Michael Leavitt, a representative of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has completed the above mentioned report with statement that smoking could sick and kill, and even people who do not smoke could be harmed by smoke from those who do.
