New Tobacco enterprise in MayodanGeneral Tobacco company plans to open new manufacturing facility in Mayodan, a town in Rockingham County, North Carolina, in the United States. Maybe fact that Mayodan has the distinction of being the only city in the world named Mayodan where lived 1,173 households encourage Vibo Corp to open namely here a tobacco facility. As sustained local and state officials, for this project were allocated $50 million over the next three years. Gov. Mike Easley sustains and contributed with a grant to this project offering $ 400,000. This tobacco company is a young but perspective enterprise that opened its door in 1997. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vibo Corp. and based in Miami. Company intends to employ as workers at this facility 199 people. Wages for the jobs in the Triad will vary by job function, but will average around $39,000 annually plus benefits. J. Ronald Denman, the company's executive vice president comment on opening of new tobacco facility: “With the support provided by the state, Rockingham County and the city of Mayodan, North Carolina provides a fantastic opportunity for General Tobacco to begin manufacturing its nationally known brands.” General Tobacco's brands include Bronco, GT One and Silver.
