Germans soon will loose their rights to smoke in public places

Areas that open the list of future German smoke-free regions are Lower Saxony, Baden-W?rttemberg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. For these states the ban begins during this week, for the others - till the end of this year.

Though Shisha waterpipe bars are very popular in Germany, particularly young people will be affected by the new smoking bans. Very soon drinking and smoking will become an unrealized dream, because true Germans will be fined for attempt to make it.

Restriction referred to places for smoking differs at every state. In Lower Saxony and Baden-W?rttemberg, smoking will be banned in restaurants, bars, hospitals, schools and local authority buildings.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania the ban will only be effective in the latter three kinds of institutions - a ban on smoking in restaurants and bars will only come in at the start of 2008.

Lower Saxony owners of bars have some time to relax as officials will begin checks in November. Although, smoking law must be kept in mind at least for high fines that will suffer all those that would respect it. So, if someone will have courage to smoke in places where it is prohibited then he or she could face fines of between ?5 and ?1,000. Fines in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania could reach ?10,000.

As it was sustained by figures from the German Health Ministry in German there are over 20 million smokers. This is about the one-third of the adult population. Actually, how the new law will evaluate, time will show.

Simple advice is to enjoy the time that remained and smoke, but also respect the introduced restrictions or it would cost you a lot of money.
